In New York and around New York
The Austrian Cultural Forum New York is not just active in the Big Apple. Of course one of its most important tasks is to present contemporary art in its wonderful home in Midtown Manhattan and in so doing to introduce the New York public to the tremendous achievements of Austrian artists and intellectuals.
But its responsibilities go further. The ACFNY also functions as an advisor and a clearing house for creative artists in every genre who want to establish themselves in the USA. This includes the support and promotion of artistic and academic work in cooperation with various cultural facilities and universities on both sides of the Atlantic. The ACFNY oversees all US activities, with the exception of Washington D.C., since there is a cultural forum as well.
The ACFNY frequently initiates and finances author reading tours, academic lecture tours, exhibitions, and concert tours.
