The artist, whose primary medium is video, documents a man from Belgrade who, using only his vocal cords, produces an uncanny imitation of the sound of a Tomahawk missile, a common background noise during the NATO bombing campaign over Serbia in 1999. Naturalmystic focuses on a trauma, presented in a way that is neither self-pitying nor self-negating. The piece represents a strong statement on desensitization.
