Marko Lulić pays homage to the recently deceased architect, sculptor, politician, and writer Bogdan Bogdanović, one of the leading anti-Milošević intellectuals and the person who shaped an entire tradition of modernist memorials erected in socialist Yugoslavia. The artist works with the contemporary dance company CollectifPops, taking as his point of departure the anti-fascist monument in Jasenovac, Croatia, designed in 1966. The work puts the monumental gesture of the modernist legacy in a contemporary perspective and pays tribute to a humanist, modern utopia.
