The Austrian Cultural Forum New York is profoundly saddened by the sudden death of its architect Raimund Abraham on March 4th in Los Angeles. In remembrance of Raimund Abraham, the ACF offers:

SPECIAL GUIDED TOURS THROUGH ABRAHAM'S STUNNING BUILDING


From 10:00 - 4:00 PM every hour on the hour.
10:00 AM - 01:00 PM you will have the chance to see the ACF roof terrace.
On the 11th Floor, we will show some of the architect’s plans of the ACF.


Raimund Abraham spent ten years of his life dedicated to the construction of the Austrian Cultural Forum from 1992 to 2002. The building was included in the 2009 edition of the Wall Paper City Guide as one of the five most important architectural landmarks in New York City and has received some one thousand reviews worldwide.


With the stunning design of the ACF building in Midtown Manhattan, Raimund Abraham has not only shaped the New York skyline, but also the way Austria has come to understand itself as a nation of contemporary creativity. It continues to attract design and architecture lovers from all over the world.

!! Previously planned panel postponed to May 13 !!


The ACF is planning a panel tribute on Mai 13 with the confirmed participation of Kenneth Frampton (former President on the ACF-jury), Andres Lepik (MoMA), William Menkin (Architects Newspaper), Anthony Vidler (Cooper Union), Lebbeus Woods (Architect and friend) Bettina Zerza (NY architect and former student) and a special message by Hermann Nitsch. Reservations are possible from 1st May.
