ACFNY SUPPORTED | CONCERT
WEDNESDAY, OCT 09 2019
The young Austrian musician Bernhard Eder will kick off his tour to Baltimore, Washington, Nashville and Genevieve with a midnight solo gig at Rockwood Music Hall. Known for his inspiring lyrics and distinct, yet gentle voice, Bernhard Eder combines elements of classical and modern music, mixing lo-fi acoustic, indie and psychedelic styles. Inspired by Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Air and Elliott, he takes his music in new and exciting directions. With his latest album "Reset", he opened a new chapter in his musical career - instead of guitars he uses old organs and a synthesizer for writing and producing.
"Marvellous electronic odes" (Rolling Stone)
Bernhard Eder grew up in a small farming village in the Austrian countryside where he founded his first band wa:rum with friends. They started playing at parties and small festivals in the region and Eder later moved to Vienna to study audio engineering and jazz vocals at the Vienna Conservatory. In 2006, Bernhard moved to Berlin establishing his solo career with his debut album "The Livingroom Sessions" (2007) introducing a dozen of lo-fi acoustic songs. With his band he later recorded "Tales from the East Side" (2008) and, back in Vienna, "To disappear doesn't mean to run away" (2011) "Post Breakup Coffee" (2012), and "Reset" (2019). www.bernhardeder.net
