BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES
Jacques Patriaque was discovered by Viennese burlesque icon Kitty Willenbruch when she hired him for her burlesque revue “Salon Kitty Revue”. Since then Jacques performed the newly discovered art of boylesque on stage at the little off-theater “Varieté Café Arena Bar”. Numerous performances in local burlesque clubs followed including the “Cotton Candy Club”, “Pulp Fiction Ballroom”, “POP! Sofa”, “Club Noir”, “Obkuritarium – The Dark Cabaret Night”, “Salon Rouge & Noir” and the “Viennese Steampunk Revue”. In 2011, he was invited as the first male performer to “Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art School” in Salzburg. In 2012, he co-hosted Kitty Willenbruch’s late-night-show “Salon Kitty TV”. In 2013, he qualified as the first and only continental European for the “2nd Annual Boylesque Festival” in New York. Soon after that he participated in the “3rd International Burlesque Festival” in Stockholm/Sweden. This year, Jacques was yet once again chosen to perform at the “3rd annual New York Boylesque Festival”. In addition, he was also booked for several other shows such as Jonny Porkpies Burlesque/ Theatre Production “Dead Evil Sexy” and “Homo Erectus” in the historic Stonewall Inn. In May 2014, he will produce the Europe-wide first-ever Boylesque Festival in Vienna. Jacques also got voted N°8 in Burlesque TOP 10 2014 Europe (Exc. Privately, Jacques is married to the Eurovision 2014 Song Contest Winner Conchita Wurst.
Tamara Mascara is Austria’s Drag performer number one. She hosts her own parties in her hometown Vienna, works as a Djane and pleases her crowd with glamorous shows. Tamara’s burlesque performance is influenced by the ballet lessons she took for several years at the famous Vienna state opera-ballet. All her costumes are designed and made by herself. She studied fashion and costume design at Vienna’s fashion institute, did her own fetish corset collection and worked for many clubbings and events as a stylist and costume designer. With her style, humor and elegance she manages to make her audience forget about the fact, that she is actually a man. She opens the door to a world of fantasy and beauty.
Mr. Gorgeous is 6 feet 5 inches of colossal classic allure. Combining circus, comedy, and charisma, Gorgeous amuses audiences of all types with his light-hearted approach to contemporary burlesque – A pure spectacle of foolishness and mayhem in the best possible sense. When he’s not pealing out of his own costumes, he’s designing and building them for the circus and burlesque community. If it stretches – he sews it! His most recent achievements include competing for the title of Best Boylesque at the Burlesque Hall of Fame 2012 and was the proud recipient of the Boylesque Beef Cake award at the 10th Anniversary of the New York Burlesque Festival.
Minnie Tonka, hails from the Land of 10,000 Lakes but is based in New York City. Known as the One Woman Riot, Minnie’s theatrical, inventive, and flirtatious striptease has been dazzling audiences across the globe since 2004. Minnie is a multiple-time New York Burlesque Festival Golden Pastie Award Winner and the co-founder of Kosher ChiXXX Jewish Burlesque Revue. She produces the annual Menorah Horah Hanukkah burlesque show, The Burning Bush VS. The Second Coming, and she produced and starred in Dangerous Curves Ahead: Burlesque on the Go-Go, the USA’s premier national touring burlesque troupe, and more. Minnie was a Featured Performer at the 2013 Minneapolis Burlesque Festival and in 2012, Miss Tonka was a Headliner at Girlesque in Toronto, the 4th Annual Dallas Burlesque Festival, the first-ever Florida Burlesque Festival and the 2nd Annual Iowa Burlesque Festival in 2014. In 2013 she toured Europe twice(!), Headlined The International Stockholm Burlesque Festival and Headlined the Helsinki Burlesque Festival 2015. Minnie is a sought-after burlesque performer and teacher and has toured the world, performing to packed houses in Australia, Italy, Finland, England, Sweden, Germany, and across North America.
Jonny Porkpie is the Burlesque Mayor of New York City, a frequent candidate for “actual” mayor of NYC, creator of Pinchbottom Burlesque, the “Best Burlesque” in NY (New York Magazine, The Village Voice) which produced the Off-Broadway shows “The Pinch Brothers in The Bawdy House” as part of MarxFest in May 2014, and “Pretençión: un cirque de burlesque, un burlesque de cirque” in 2013. A Pastor at the Church of Titillation, he is also the creator of Dead Sexy and international bump and grinds gameshow Grab My Junk, author of The Corpse Wore Pasties, burlesque performer, teacher, and host, and an all-around fool.
