The ACFNY Library, one of the largest collections of Austriaca in the US, encompasses some 11,000 volumes. The emphasis is on Austrian literature (German bzw. Originalsprache and English translations, as well as secondary works), art (monographs on Austrian artists, visual arts, architecture, design), and history. There is also a wide range of literature on music, poetry, philosophy, psychology, geography, social sciences, theater and folk art. CDs and DVDs can be used on-site.
Membership entitles patrons to borrowing privileges, and is free.

MON, TUE, THU, FRI 10 AM – 1 PM and 2 PM – 5 PM
WED 10 AM – 1 PM and 2 PM – 8 PM

Note, however, that this site, a common data base of the Austrian Libraries System, is only in German. In it works from 60 other libraries including the Austrian National Library (Österreichische Nationalbibliothek) as well as from the libraries of the Austrian Cultural Forums in Budapest, London, Paris and Zagreb can be found. Also, titles are still being added, so please be aware that the book you are looking for may be found if you inquire a little later.
