ACF's library, one of the largest collections of Austriaca in the US, encompasses some 10,000 volumes. The emphasis is on literature (especially secondary works), art (550 monographs on Austrian artists), and history. There is also a wide range of literature on the humanities, social sciences, medicine, law, theater, fashion and folk art. The music division includes scores, records, tapes, and CDs. As a special service, our librarian can assist you with genealogical research. Our library is now also online!

The titles of the books available in the library of the ACF New York can be inquired here.

Note, however, that this site, a common data base of the Austrian Libraries System, is only in German. In it works from 60 other libraries including the Austrian National Library (Österreichische Nationalbibliothek) as well as from the libraries of the Austrian Cultural Forums in Budapest, London, Paris and Zagreb can be found. Also, titles are still being added, so please be aware that the book you are looking for may be found if you inquire a little later. For further information, please do not hesitate to ask at the library of the Austrian Cultural Forum!

Opening hours:

Monday through Friday (except U.S. and Austrian holidays) 9 am - 4 pm To make an appointment, please write to library@acfny.org
