The book was launched in Vienna and in New York City. The images from the Vienna launch were taken by Peter Kainz, and show the press conference by Gerald Bast, the dean of Vienna's University of Applied Arts, and Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger.

The launch in NYC took place in January 2011 at the Austrian Cultural Forum, with Kenneth Frampton, co-editor Andres Lepik and design historian Karen Stein.
