I Am from Nowhere (Andy Warhol)
Directed by Georg Misch | Documentary | 2002
Since 1952, countless films, documentaries, and reports have been made on the subject of Miková, the small village in Eastern Slovakia with a population of one hundred and fifty where the family of Andy Warhol stemmed from.
Focussing on his relatives who still live there, I Am from Nowhere investigates the fuss the media made about them, reflecting on filming as well as on being filmed, on media fame, and on Warhol's legendary 15 minutes thereof. But this is a film even more about the dreams and hopes of the people there, about the universal human dream of a better life, and about an American dream that quite unexpectedly turns out to be nightmarish.

Notes on Marie Menken
Directed by Martina Kudlacek | Documentary | 2006
The film analyzes the almost forgotten story of legendary artist Marie Menken (1909-1970), one of the most outstanding filmmakers of the New York underground experimental scene from the 1940s to the 1960s. Marie Menken inspired artists such as Stan Brakhage, Andy Warhol, Jonas Mekas, Kenneth Anger, and Gerard Malanga. A probable role model for the character of Martha in Edward Albee's famous play Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, she ended up as a Warhol superstar. Drawing the picture of a modern myth in personal diary style, the film presents never-before-seen footage by Marie Menken including a camera "duel" between Menken and Andy Warhol. John Zorn contributes a wonderful film score.

All the Queen's Men
Directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky | Fiction | 2001
Late in World War II, the Brits still want their hands on a German Enigma, the typewriter-like machine that constructs and sends coded messages. An unlikely quartet parachutes behind enemy lines - with two days to find the factory where Enigmas are made, grab one, and get out: a queen, a pencil pusher, a bookworm, and an almost secret agent. To add to the oddness, they are all dressed as women, with only a crash course from the queen. They reach their destination, rendezvous with their German contact, a lovely librarian, and start their search.
