What's happening in European literature today? Who are the new talents? What are the most recent trends? What are the latest must-read books in Europe? The European Book Club keeps its members up to date on all of these questions and more.
The Austrian, Czech, French, German, Italian, and Spanish cultural institutes in New York City have joined together to create a new European Book Club. The Club will meet monthly at the various cultural institutes to discuss well known contemporary novels from the respective countries.
The European Book Club will meet every third Monday of the month, except for the first meeting, which will take place on the fourth Monday in April (April 28). All books will be read in English translation. Participation is free but prior registration is required.
